Ladders,Termite Man and ToolBox

Being a cheapskate someone who values money I needed to save as much as I can when deciding on the house. So I hired Bob the Painter. The only thing about Bob the Painter was... He couldn't afford those really good long tall ladders that professionals use.So what he suggested? For me to buy some sticks and nails for him to Build one.Yes Bang Bang Knock Knock.I got all those wood for RM40 only and found out that if I rented those expensive ladders it'll cost me Rm 50 a day.So Heck I bought the wood.Bob had an Indon assistant and it only took him less that 5 minutes to build this 10 Feet (yup no kidding aprox 10 feet) ladder.Power man.I got him a saw and a hammer. He just went straight measure a bit bit and then saw saw saw bang bang bang and wala ! He got this ladder Hahaha. The picture show the ladder nearly reaching the ceiling of the ground floor room.

So what else happened for the week? Called our regular Pesticide Man Mr Chan to help check around the house for any termites. Mr Chan came with his gay Non-Masculine son who goes to the gym.But the son very good-la he even went all the way up to the attic to have a look & spray spray with whatever chemical they used.

He didn't charge me so expensive and even gave me some sticky tape to trap lizards and some rat poison to place around the house. No kidding.

This picture looks weird...But as usual I took all the pictures without them knowing. I told my mum I took the pictures and she ask me to take their faces-la."After all they are friend-friend so no problem" that's what she said. So the verdict... No Termite problems around the house. The wood still solid.
And then one of the night I needed to go find some tool so needed a shopping partner.Andrew was free no gym so we went round finding for tool.Just a simple basic one with at least a hammer and a screwdriver. Went to Tesco cos I thought they had good China Tools there but ANdrew suggested Ikea.No regrets man walking tru the drizzly rain across the road. This tool box comes with a BOX hahaha and it's orange in colour. And it value for money so can use-la for a simple house.Listen to my dad he said "what for use expensive tool...you are not a professional also". But I really like my tool box. It's cute and a little bit rubbery for the tools to fit in the slots. So who needs a Hammer??? Give me a ring!

A Special Meal ???

I had an Organic Lunch with one of my customers the other day.Was suppose to spend him and his wife but it ended up that he belanja me instead...Yeah-la cos he's much older (59 years old funny how many things you can learn from others just with a simple lunch) plus he has lotsa money also.
The thing about having an organic food for a meal is the "fact" (no bluffing) that you can really feel the difference when you sit on your throne in the toilet. The "stuff" just flows out without any "umph".And that's what happened to me but I was a bit shocked...Why cos the colour turn out to be red.So the 1st thing that ran through my mind...Am I having Periods??? Hemorrhoids bleeding...not that I know of ? Then I realize...it's the same colour as the Dragon Fruit ! Dammit Got Conned.

Trying to find this MP3 for this video.Pretty cool. It's the 6th Theme song for Bleach by Aqua Timez a Jap group not like the Aqua we all used to listen to.Liked the sketches of shoes running around.Looks easy but I bet it ain't.

Here's the Cute Version by the same song. The Teddy Bear(Kon)starts the intro of the song.Enjoy... Yikes Been blogging 2 days in a week...Exceeded my quota already!

Bob the Painter ! Can he Paint it ! Yes He can !

Was busy as usual.Getting a house all painted up ain't as easy as it looks...
Imagine having all THESE buckets of Paint into a 8 year old car.And it fits... A miracle.Thank God it fits.Of course I had to get rid of all the crap work material from the car boots first. These paints include 2 buckets of 18liter Martex for the white ceiling, one bucket of 20 liter Weatherbond for outside both front and back, 11 cans of this Satin glow paint for the inside walls and one more dunno what 9000 for the door frames and room doors.

Anyway from the 14th August to 17th August the house of occupied with Indons.Yes but I think they have permit cos they were recommended by a Dr (my customer) who happens to be a RELA member and who happens to have a real legal gun.So if anything bad do happen I know who to find to "shoot" the fella. Oh yeah the painter's name is Bob (Bobby's he's full name) so I call him Bob the Painter. And this painter is very Mobile Savy.He even knows how to SMS :)

This is how Bob looks like. From the back of course.I a bit shy to take his picture straight at his face. But even if I did ask to take a picture of him I guess he wouldn't mind. He's those really friendly Indon dude who really smiles at anything and everything. He's a bit dark for an Indon even my mum thinks he's an Indian.A pretty hardworking dude as he came in from 8.30am and works all the way til 12 for his lunch (don't think they take breakfast) then takes a bit of a nap til 1.30pm and works all the way to the evening until 6pm stops for dinner and then works all the way til the night at 11.30pm
Oh yeah this view is from the inside of the hall.Bob is painting the Gate with his Bright Red Shirt but no worries there's a Huge Tear at the Ketiak there so it's an old shirt.Yup abit on the hardworking side of Indon. The thing about them is when they work they really work.No talking... REally no talking at all but they need nicotine of PallMall and GudangGaram to keep them going on and on and on and onnnnnn.

All i had to provide them is some small rollers/brush/thinner and some paint here and there.Oh yeah and then there's the RM40 of ladder made out of wood.I'll get those pictures for the next post.

Some tips when painting with Bob:-

1.Make sure you have enough paint (which also means the same colour same brand/same colour number)

2.Do Not buy too many paints (as you will have to Mandi with it if it's too much)

3.Always ensure you know where to get paints from your nearest hardware shops...Makes sure you Do Know other alternative Hardware stores if your regular doesn't have the colour you need (I had to drive up and down 3 different stores to get a correct colour). You will also need some tools like scraper/thinner to get rid of the paints on the floor.

4.Have lotsa Old Newspapers of if you could get hold of Larger Card boards it would help Bob to paint without having raindrops of paint on the floor. Why Card boards are better?? Cos it isn't as fragile as paper even if you turn on the fan and it's portable for him to move it round.

Okay talking too much already as usual.Hope you guys have a great week ! Thanks Bob ! He did a good job.Come over to have a look when the house is Done !

How Does A Tapir Start A New Home ?

Janvier didn't want me to stop at 2 post so me continue-la.But I have no idea to Hyperlink his name... How sad...no worries... he'll teach me my blogging Sifuuuuuu
Have been busy for the whole of last week.
Monday:- Had to arrange with the Vendor (@ the seller of the house) for him to cut off his water & electricity bills and for me to "turn it " back on the same day
Tuesday:- Had to get the keys to the house from the Vendor as he Still had plenty of Shit Crap to clear
Wed & Thus :- Clear house clear house
Friday:- Had to collect paint as Dad had contacts to cheaper paints... And of course Celebrating a meal with our dear Citrus Friend.
So it has been a busy week...

And so how do we start a house? Eh don't make this as a "textbook" to kasi bina your house ya just what I did right/wrong that will help in the future

Here's a picture of the original copy of my tenaga/water bills notice my stupid adobe phpsh work on the picture Lousy man

Things to bring:
1.your ic
2.his/her ic (the vendor)
3.a copy of the S &P of the house
4.RM 10 Hasil Stem for electricity bills
5.Money and I mean Real Cash...Don't know why they don't accept Credit Card.Don't want you to collect points from there?

The Tenaga bill was quite easy. For those in PJ they will have to get to PJ state near the Menara MPPJ or is it called MBPJ??? It's best to get there togather with the vendor as they will cut off the account and then open an account for you.The depost/cagaran for the electricity account is RM 400 (this is std for a double stry house...unless you own a factory or a bungalow then more than that) pluss RM3 for dunno what processing fee and RM10 for Hasil Stem.

I thought I'm very smart I brought a copy of the S&P but I also very not smart as I only brought one copy of it when you actually need 2 copies...One for Power & the other for Water. So I laughed at myself hahaha soo clever I brought the S&P...Little did I know as I got to the water works I realize I just handed my only copy to the Tenaga! Crap

The water works is located near the Asunta Hospital. The deposit is only RM100 (also same story if bigger house then bigger deposit) but get this... The processing fee is RM 30 (tenga only RM3) just for them to go look look see see.Funny right! Stupid!

Then on Wed I went shopping for brooms/mops/ pails/dustpans/ and stuff here and there. It felt quite fun just shopping for these things...Yeah-lah I did swipe card so at the end of the day only Lain Kira.

Just a tip...Get really Hard Brooms if you're gonna scrub the floor.Cos it'll really make your floor Shine !!!
Okay enough crap and nonsense for me. I guess blogging is a way for me to get away from work Stress !

Ah Ha The Original Tapir Picture

I just realize that this blog is pretty cool. The background colour is green like Jungle and it's sorta a polluted home cozy home to the tapir. See the tapir sleeping soundly. That what I did for the weekend.I also slept slept slept like Mad, just like the Tapir...Embracing my Tribal Animal hahaha...
Realize that time and effort is needed when blogging.Like when you edit the pictures and the thinking about a watermark on your pictures just in case some dude steals your pictures with knowing it and getting RM 50 in The Star newspaper.
I did manage to get a few shots of pictures from the new house. It ain't a pretty sight as the previous owner still had his junk all around the house. Will post those pictures once I feel like it.
Ok-la just a short post-la.Nanti everybody get sick of all my junk then no mood to read. Hope you guys had a good weekend!

What's with Tapir? And why Let it sleep?

Why "Let the Sleeping Tapir Lie"?
Well because you don't want to step on its tail. How do I know it has a tail? Well look at the next picture wayy down to examine further the diagram of its tail.

Ok-la I don't claim to be an expert on Tapirs or animals but I do have a Diploma in Animal Health and Husbandry a long long time ago.So ok can pass know a bit bit about animals... but not a Tapir. So if you do happen to find this blog and expect alot of Mumbo Jumbo CSI or scientific stuff about Tapir then this blog ain't for your.

In fact I don't know why but I started having this fascination with tapirs ever since I seen one sleeping as I visited Zoo Negara Malaysia on 2nd May 2007.And the thing is the Tapir was having a fun time sleeping there in the dry drain filled with grass. It did not seam to be bordered about all the noise the kids made or people shouting around while snapping photos of the sleeping Tapir.

And I'm one of the funny fella who took a picture of the sleeping Tapir...Not to bad what as compared with other kids who actually spit on the Tapir and still the Tapir was soundly asleeppppp...

I guess we all can learn a thing or two from the Tapir. When you are sleeping soundly...Just go to sleep.Don't care about all the worries/cares/troubles of the world behind you...Forget about your evil boss who buggs you all the time.Just Sleep sleep sleep...

Oh yeah just to prove Tapirs do have a tail. Ah-haa a Tiny Tail there at the corner..

Ok back to the topic. Why Tapir? Well to be exact a Malaysian Tapir because I wanted to find some very distinct Animal that represents Malaysia. To show that I'm a patriot ?Maybe it's because deep down inside I'm a true Black and White Malaysian Tapir born and breed here in Malaysia. So there you have it. The reason behind Tapir. And Nowss You Knowss.

The other reason I'm starting up this blog is to place highlights on the various steps I'm taking to start up my new home.So that next time when I grow old and become an Old Malaysian Tapir I'll clap my hands happily and being Thankful for all that I have. And of course to share it with everybody around. So watch out...I'll place my very own pictures next time round.I also need much help to continue this blog cos I have to admit-la I'm a Newbie at it.See ya soon
